If you've ever gotten super glue stuck to your fingers, you know what a pain it can be to get it off again! Don't worry - there's a simple household item you probably already stock that can take care of your super glue super mess!
Things You'll Need:
- Nail polish remover
- Tissue or paper towel
- Easily cleaned working space (bathroom, kitchen sink, etc.)
Step 1: Set Up Your Space
If you've got super glue stuck to your fingers, be sure not to get yourself stuck to anything else. If you're a sticky mess, enlist the help of a friend or family member to get you some nail polish remover and paper towel in a space that's safe to work
Step 2: Wipe Away Super Glue
Pour some nail polish remover on the paper towel, and wipe away the super glue! As you start to work, some of the paper towel may initially become stuck, but as the nail polish remover dissolves the glue you should be able to wipe away all the fuzzies.
Step 3: Wash Everything Thoroughly
Once you're done removing, make sure to wash your hands, as well as your work space, with soap and water. Nail polish is useful, but it's also a chemical, so be careful about getting any in your eyes or mouth. Once you're all washed up, you're all set!
Warning
- Nail polish is a strong chemical. I recommend using nail polish without acetone. Nail polish remover will remove super glue from skin, plastic, glass, whatever - but if used on certain fabrics or surfaces, it can remove color, as well. If you have any questions about how something will hold up under nail polish remover, test a small area before starting a whole project.
